About the CHS Boosters
The Carpinteria High School Booster Club works to encourage the moral and physical development of Carpinteria High School students through the school's athletic program. The Booster Club supports the athletic program and gives recognition to teams and individuals of the program.
The 2015-2016 school year saw nearly 600 student athletes participate on 44 teams and 18 sports. There were 12 post-season appearances earned by the 18 Varsity programs at CHS. Most importantly, there were 54 student athletes heading to college this year, with a higher percentage than recent years attending four-year universities.
The Booster's Club was able to provide more than $22,000 to the CHS Athletic Department through contributions to the school's general Athletic fund and special projects. Those contributions funded officials at more than 300 contests the Warriors hosted, protective gear and equipment for multiple sports, post-season team awards and certificates, the purchase of more than 1,000 athletic balls, new uniforms for boys and girls volleyball, softball, boys golf and girls basketball, and tournament fees for Boys and Girls Water Polo, Boys and Girls Basketball and Boys and Girls Volleyball, Softball and Baseball.
Outside of direct contributions to the Athletic Department, the Boosters Club also provides scholarships to graduating seniors each year through the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. The 2016 recipient is Miranda Marquez.
Looking ahead to the 2016-2017 school year, in addition to general operating expenses, the Booster's Club looks to fund uniforms and equipment for many boys and girls programs, as well as special projects the Athletic Department will submit in August as part of the budget process. We will also honor of Athletic Hall of Fame members in the Fall and celebrate the Centennial of Carpinteria High School by growing our Centennial Fund.
We look forward to keeping you updated on our monthly meetings, activities and ways to be involved and volunteer through this site. For more information or to volunteer, email us at email@example.com.
