California Scholastic Federation (CSF)
French Club
This is a statewide scholastic honor society. Admission is open to anyone who applies in the first three weeks of the semester and whose high school grades meet the entrance formula.

This club meets weekly to give French students an opportunity to get together socialy in order to further their knowledge of the French language and culture.

Spanish Club
This activity is open to students who enjoy competing in writing and delivering speeches.
Advisor: Jim Baird
This club is open to any student currently enrolled in a Spanish class at CHS or who would like to further his/her knowledge of hispanic culture and language. Lunchtime activities as well as night and weekend events are planned for student participation.

Mock Trial
Movimiento Estudantil Chicano de Atzlan (MECHA)
This competition is open to students who wish to prepare and present an assigned trial case as a team. The case is heard in Santa Barbara courtrooms and judged by actual lawyers/judges.

The objective of this organization is to provide a forum for Latino students of CHS to express their ideas on matters that relate to the school or community and to help the Latino community fo participate in all school activities.
Future Farmers of America (FFA)
Future Leaders of America
This is the largest vocational youth group in existence today. Membership allows students to participate in many extra-curricular activities such as fairs, shows, judging contests, and public speaking.
Advisors: Bobbi Roderick and John Avila

This group focuses on giving students the confidence and support they need to succeed. Public speaking skills are practiced in workshops, conferences and annual camps. Activities are planned around themes including; drug and alcohol awareness, family, education, and school requirements. College requirements, financial aid and planning for the future are discussed. We are open to anyone who is interested and willing to participate.

This club gives the students the opportunity to engage in environmental activities in the school and the community.

Interact Club
Friday Night Live
 Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club at Carpinteria High School. Interact gives students the opportunity to participate in meaningful service projects. Members of the club perform at least two community-service projects a year. Community service credits may be earned as a result of participation in club projects.
Advisor: Chrissie Gilbert
 This club seeks to promote a drug-free, healthy lifestyle for youth. Members are given opportunities to complete community service credit and participate in leadership roles. Monthly activities are planned by the leadership group of the club.
JSA (Junior State of America)
Math Club
This organization is a student led debate and discussion club that meets weekly at lunch to discuss global, national and local topics. Every semester JSA students have the opportunity to attend one-day seminars with other students from the tri-counties as well as attend a weekend conference in Los Angeles which includes members from the Southern California area.
Advisor: Casey Roberts
Math Club centers its activities around an interest in the study of mathematics and its applications. Math Club members work to assemble teams for an annual math competition and also meet monthly to offer a free tutoring service to all students in math classes. By participating in Math Club, students improve their reasoning skills as well as provide a useful service to their peers.
